Hi all. I found this forum while looking for technical/mechanical info on the SR 500. I'm rebuilding a '75 Triumph Trident (with someone who really knows engineering and mechanics, and owned the bike before me). Long term project. I wanted a ride for the 'meantime'. Something I can begin on. I rode a little (ineptly and illegaly) as a teenager, and haven't ridden in 30 years. I found this SR 500 for a reasonable price, in a reasonable shape, and ready to ride. Just what I want for the 'meantime'. The wife and I liked it, and bought it. Now she's asking if I'm still going to ride the Triumph...cause the grin on me tells her the SR 500 is great! ;D I'm having some relatively minor problems with the bike, so I'll be posting questions in the appropriate threads later. We'll be sharing this bike, and when the Triumph is ready (someday), the SR 500 will be shared...er, I mean it'll be hers.
