Delighted to have found these boards - looks like there's a wealth of information here.
Getting back into motorcycles after 15 years with no bike. I'd owned a 1980 SR, back in the early 80's, and I've always thought the SR was the perfect around-town/commuter bike.
So, just bought a 1978 SR off of ebay. Looks to be in decent running condition, hope to just clean it up a bit, put new rubber on it, Progessive shocks and forks springs, maybe the Minton mods and a high-volume oil line - and have the prefect commuter bike again.
