Hi Mates--My newly aquired SR500 is very hard to start, I know how to kick it and understand the air/ fuel thing, I have a few high performace british bikes, they usualy start first kick if everthing is 100%, if it isn't they are had to start as well, the only thing I can see is the spark colour is a bit orange but quite strong--regards Barry

Hi Mates--After 30 minutes of hard kicking inc checking spark and plug wetness every 10 minutes last night, this morning no choke no throtle it started first kick, Iv'e got the knack, it needs lots of air, so if doesn't start or fire in the first 2 kicks I kick with wide open throttle (it started a few time like that) then kick w/ throttle shut--Barry

Steeping it overnight in fumes I'm not surprised it started first kick this morning! Glad it sorted itself out.

Hi Steve--I've been out on the SR500 quite a few times now and it starts first kick most of the time hot or cold, --Barry
