Deus continues to evolve...there is another nice SR cafe racer in there on display and their cafe area is now quite large...nice coffee (free)...really nice looking metal front and rear guards on the bike...small but solid! The rear guard is one piece and completely replaces the plastic one under the seat as well.
They have a new stock of parts coming in from Japan at the end of January..Daytona parts etc...
I had a Daytona large fin cylinder in my hands yesterday (91mm J&E piston, Megacycle cam).....apparently the head is around there somewhere too...
Hmmm, now I wonder what my bank account can stand???

Hallo Stew, hallo stew i know that cilinder/head, it is on one of my motors, we used to import them till dec 2005. wonder what deus is charging for it. most of our customers woren`t prepared to pay that kind of money for it(2007,50 euro for the head, that is 19% tax and shipping included)But in my opinion it`s verry well worth the money. BTW it is sorry that Daytona does not sell the bigbore kit anymore, so if you can, get it i can give you all the pecs if you want.

Sjef, Hi, yes it's a nice bit of gear. I would like to get one for the new cafe racer I'm building. I'll check up on how much it is.
Yes please by all means send the specs for it. It would make an interesting comparison.
It's nice to have this stuff available over here now.

Thanks Sjef, Much appreciated. I will block copy and print it out for later reference.
I feel inclined to try to get one of these, but not for right now. Maybe in a few months time. I'll see if the cylinder is still available. If it is, I might order one and sort it out later.
It's funny that I have owned many bikes over the years. But I still come back to the SR's. At the moment I have 3 SR 500's and the DCM...which has an XT engine...I still need more of them.

One other thing Sjef, why can't you use the Kei Hin CR carby with these heads?
To me, the FCR always looks strange slanted back at an angle on the SR's...surely it would affect the available fuel height in the bowl?

Hallo Stew, The CR has a max diam of 39mm the inlet port of the Daytona head is 41mm and that`s enough for a nonfit according to our japanese friends from Daytona and maybe there is a space issue with the frame
btw Dayona does not sell the bigbore cylinder anymore there might be some in stockat the local japanese shops
