I suspect my decompression setup is not functioning properly. I'd like to pull the rocker box to inspect the inner workings. Is there enough clearance once the upper mount is removed to remove the rocker box without pulling the engine out of the frame?

Nope, I just did it this afternoon. Pulled the engine out. Takes around 1hr.
Take the engine out, check everything on the top end etc as can't do it while the engine is in the bike

Thanks Pete, as it turns out I just needed to take a closer look at how critical the cable adjustment is. I ended up removing the exhaust valve adjuster cover so I could actually see and feel how the compression release moves the exhaust valve. I'm pretty sure I have the cable adjusted correctly with just the right amount of slack so everything works as designed.
