If you are speaking of the French outfit, maybe and maybe. If you can comb past portions of the old forum, at least one person was getting this model and I think first reports were good. I don't believe that I have seen that person chime in on this new iteration of the SR Forum. I did look at their website for the starter a couple years ago and it looked nicely made and workable. It is not inexpensive in any way, so "Ya gotta want it"

Expensive but they work. Also they have a lithium battery that does NOT get charged inside the starter. So that needs to be replaced. Look easy to install and easy for a weekend job.

Kenny, they are available in the UK for £1575 , rex’speedshop are the UK distributor. Really does look a quality piece of kit. Each to their own but certainly not for me especially while I’m fit enough to kick mine over 😀.

It's certainly a chunk to fork out but fitted properly they do the job! Shame OCR hasn't joined this version of the forum. He had a wealth of knowledge in every area of SRs and bikes in general. He fitted one of these not long before the last forum went offline.

I have installed the X-Start system on both my 81 SR500 and 2015 SR400 and can tell you they both work very well. Quality kit and easy to install, the Sr400 was a little more fiddly because of the fuel injection system.

They look very easy to install. But sorry, we buy the SR for several reasons, one of them is it is a kick start. Love being able to show off kicking it over. It is a loss art. Plus a well timed and maintained SR is not hard to kick over once the technique is worked out.

You can afford to be a purist if you are not 72 years old and have 2 bad knees, and would like to ride SRs and not carry a powered roller with you.
