Howzit Chaps, Not SR related this is my sons Bantam I (finally) completed just before Christmas as a present to him on his return from UK. Motor complete rebuild, piston, rod bearings and seals etc. Front forks and wheel from an old Yamaha (AG200?), alloy yokes and steering head stem from remnants of an old SWM trials I had in shed. 1965 D7 motor, 1958 D5 frame. New stainless rear rim laced onto original hub. Lot of fun. Attachments:

Looks like a nice bike Neal, and fun to ride no doubt. I've never been around or ridden any Bantams but I've always liked the look of them.

Looks great fun neal. To be honest I've always been a road bike bloke and I was envious of that nice bit of water in the background, whats the fishing like ?

I don't fish Andy, there are some barbel (bottom feeders similar to catfish) in the dam but also some rather large crocs(!) and recently a stray hippo which thankfully seems to have found its way home. I love living in Africa but it is not without its fair share of perils.

Hey gotta love a Bantam. First bike I ever took to bits that worked again afterwards! My D7 came with B40 forks but I made it all original which was a mistake in hindsight. Those Bantam forks were awful. Yours looks mean and your son's going to be carving it up in style.

Hey think someone once said can't beat a classic. The Bantams are awesome bikes. Wish I never sold mine. I had a 1955 BSA D3 Major and it was amazing.
