Hi all! After a long hiatus involving my aging/failing folks, estate issues and my own health (quad-bypass) Im back. The '81 SR real deal, old school, long term cafe racer is back up and running too after 4 or 5 years of unintended 'storage'. Only really took a simple carb float bowl clean of the VM36; the non-eth premium c/w a stiff dose of Sta-Bil had not hardened up! Popped after about 5 kicks (forgot the routine, lol) and started after about 10. Its a Beast! Looks like a front end rebuild is in order next.....the fun never ends.

Hi Andy! Great to overtake you For being 70 Im generally doing quite well, still taking ahold of life and catching up on over-due projects. It has been drought conditions here, bad for many but one of the best motorcycle summers in years; I get my good mini IoM loop (or more) about every day. The W650 in my sig-line is new to me this summer, wanted one since test riding a USA intro model in 2000. It has 44k mi. but well cared for and the cake with frosting is Ohlins 224 rear shocks and Andreani cartridge forks! Ive been learning how to tune the forks though I had some experience with the Gazi HyperX on the SR from back on the old forum. External adj. pre-load, compression and rebound sure is Sweet. The W is a Very Nice Bike and fits me extremely well. It is the bike I wished my '63 Triumph TR6 would have been back in 1970. The SR is a beast and the TUX a lovely gentleman's single. Seems my stable is all Japanese versions of classic Brit bikes.

Hi GCrank, good to know you're still around. You were one of the first people on the old boards to offer me help when I got my 400 back in 2014. Nice to see some of the old names in the threads here.
