Just wanted to say hello from Fallbrook, California. I've lurked around a little, learning what I can and have just about 3 million and 5 questions. Just bought a '78 in stock shape (a bit bigger carb, K&Ns, progressive rear shocks), but that's about it. I picked up a '79 a couple of weeks later for a parts bike, but am seriously thinking of doing some cafe styling and performance modifications (on a budget!) to this one. I've started stripping down the '79 and cataloging the parts and bits. I'd really like to put wire wheels on the '79 cafe project. I've restored old toys for quite a few years, and enjoy the satisfaction of making something old new again. That's about it from me. I'll see you all around! Gary

Hey Hopwheels, welcome to the forum! It's always the best time when just starting a new project! Looking forward to following along with your progress. Great people here on the forum. I'm sure someone will have the answers to your questions. Post a pic if you like. Looking forward to talking to you soon, G Man (Gary)

Hello Stew! Finding images of your SR on the web is what inspired me to cafe the '79 I bought. Thanks for saying hello!
