Has anyone here order products from vd-classic.com? I order the Victoria solo seat for my project about 6 weeks ago, and still no seat. I've emailed and had replies, but no success at finding out where the item is. Not ready to fully disparage them, just wanting to know if others have ordered anything and received their items in good order. It'd add a little boost of patience for me. They say they shipped via La Poste France, a service I am unfamiliar with. Any input would be appreciated. I'd love to report this ending well soon. Thanks! Gary

Gary, I haven't ordered from them. If their postal service works like ours does here in Canada, they likely had a couple of choices to ship you your parcel. One would be an express or expedited ship (pretty expensive) the other would be ground.(I know, the Atlantic ocean is between you!) Thus explains the wait time. If your shipping was around $20.00 to $80.00 dollars, it's likely coming the cheap way (for them) That usually translates into anywhere from approx six to eight weeks. (barring any un-knowns like a mis-placed parcel etc...)
p.s.: Not only does your parcel need to navigate itself across the ocean, it still has to go all the way across your country! I bet that's a few miles in total!

Thanks for the re-assurance G Man. It is going the slow boat, parcel post route (if I'd had a choice I'd have paid for faster). Had I not received a swing arm from GB, and a gasket set and oil line kit from Germany in about a week and a half, no red flags would be waving. Hope it arrives and as I said, I can report success. Hmmm... two friendly emails from me in the last 4 days just for an update on the package tracking and no return emails at all. Losing faith on this one. Gary Hopwheels

Hallo Gary,
we delivered daytona parts to VD classic in the past , has proven to be reliable, at least to us. the european postservice can be very slow(snailmail) it ones took the post about 3 months to deliver a parcel in australia and the last parcel i have send to germany (the neighbouring country)took about 3 weeks to arrive(normally 2days)You better give vd classic a call and ask erik , he speaks english,
hope this helps
regards sjef

I am ecstatic to report that the seat ARRIVED!!! It is awesome looking. Haven't figured exactly how it mounts yet, but it looks great. Thought I should update. Thanks. Gary Hopwheels

Fantastic Gary! Glad to hear they came thru. I may do some shopping there myself.
