I’ve got a 1978 XT500 that a previous guy I found to get it working better basically scammed me and in the process destroyed my engine.
Found a new guy ( x military ) who’s had it for three years. Went nuts trying to fix it and finally found out what previous guy did and original engine was destroyed. Took quite awhile to find a new one but finally did. Devastatingly soon after before my now best friend was able to finish bike he found out he was dying of cancer so I had to pick up bike from him yesterday ( he gave me his expensive bike hoist which was super nice of him to be able t try and work on it myself.). He said look online for videos on how to do it. Well I just looked and couldn’t find any.
So if anyone can explain to me how to do it or find a site explaining it I’d really appreciate it. This is not my expertise but ima quick learner.
