xt500 cylinder oil leak ?
I found an external oil leak at the front lower left side of my 81 xt 500...suspect previous owners kid doing endless wheelies, which was one of the reasons I got the bike... to save it from an early death [ the bike had less than 10000 miles on it in 2019]
I remember from my youth how damaging those Willys can be do the top end but this bike has great compression and I was wondering if anybody else had ever heard of a leak a couple cooling fins above the base of the cylinder, sounds quite plausible to me but any input and experience would be greatly appreciated in the meantime I just replace the oil and keep running it as it's not a terribly badly leak Justin annoying wet spot.
