Hello I have just got a 1981 XT 500 which has to my surprise has 6 volt electrics now it is hard to start and runs rough which is down to carburation, now I am getting the carb serviced and some other parts replaced on the fuel side hopefully this will help with the starting.
I am thinking about converting to 12 volt and electronic ignition these do a plug in and play system for both www'rexs-speedshop.com
will this make the bike easier to start and ride?
What does the experienced members on here think?
