Just put the 3" supertrapp on with12 discs.I have a new 1-3/4" headipe and new s pipe.
I'm running the stock carb with the Minton mod.
Does anybody have this same set up?and if so,did you have to do any new re-jetting?

Ive been running a VM36 for years with the old White Bros. street SR header and various cans, the best was the old, long, ss reverse cone with (iirc) the 12 plates re-spaced for max flow (wanted to find more plates but never did so I added small washers between the rearmost plates to equal the calc open area of 3 more plates).
Reports on the old forum were that I may have done better with the VM34, idk, mine has been set-up this way since the '80's, lol. (remember the old Gordon Jennings articles back in the day?).
Fwiw, the old forum had a bunch of good info on better header dia's than the 1 3/4" too (smaller dia. and even 'stepped' from smaller to larger near the can in 3 steps iirc). All gone info now.....

VM34 is the bomb. |
