Hello fellow SR fans. Well, I can't begin to tell you how excited I was to find this forum. Back in 1980, I had a new SR which I rode for four years. I gave the bike to my son (a move I always regretted) who later wrecked it. After many more bikes have come and gone, I just recently stumbled on a 1981 SR with 11,500 miles on it.. To make a long story short, I'm very excited. This bike is ideal for the hills and backroads of Kentucky. I'm currently in-work on jetting the carb along with the Minton mods, to accomodate the SuperTrapp exhaust system. I've just installed the second oil line to the exhaust rocker and nead to fix an oil leak (I have the parts) comming from the clutch cover, above the oil filter cover. This machine is bringing back some great memories. I'm really pleased to be in such excellent company and I look forward to sharing riding experiences and technical information with you all. Bronson7

Bronson7 Hi Bronson! Extremely pleased to have you on the forum. We have an excellent group here (although small in number) and are growing everyday. Looking forward to updates on your progress on your bike set up. I managed to ride through Northern Kentucky in 2002 on my "other" bike. (I'm from Northern Ontario) I absolutely love that area. I hope to get back there some time soon. (On the SR I hope!) Talk to you soon, G Man
