That was a Hoos header and megaphone. I really liked the way it looked and performed, but it was SO loud! I am actually working on a new pipe for it now but it's not quite finished:  This one is a headpipe and mid pipe from Flow with a Cone Engineering muffler. The sound is perfect! It's still pretty loud but not nearly as harsh as the mega. |

OK! I did like the look of that Hoos on there, but your new one is certainly the dogs danglies!!   It looks more off road/XT for sure. Stainless? Take care, G Man |

Thanks! The muffler is stainless but the rest is just mild steel. Still needs a bit of work but I think it will work out nicely.

Thanks! It has an 87.5mm 10:1 wiseco piston, R/D valve springs, Mikuni VM36 with K&N Filter, 12v lighting. I am going to completely re-wire the bike, I picked up a complete ignition from an SR500 that I will swap in as well. I need to get the carb jetting sorted, it runs ok but I think it is still rich, mainly up top. It has been such a fun bike!

She must be loads of fun. I have bought a TT500 that I have not seen yet. (Only photo's) My buddy is bringing her down to me next week and I know that she needs a engine rebuild. I'm thinking I may try a few mods myself. Just need to see what I bought first. My XT is standard apart from the exhaust and 2nd oversize piston. |
