Engine rebuild underway. Carrillo rod supplied leaves no room for big end thrust washers. It is 22 mm across the big end, Stock Yammy item is 20, the thrust washers are 1mm each.
I am told it is the right rod for the engine. Advice I've received is that it is OK to leave the thrust washers out, that this is done on XT500 and SR500 engines, apparently without drama. Seems strange to me.
