yesyes, another one!1!! after having read this forum for a couple of months i thought it's time to introduce myself to this enchanted crowd. here goes: as you can see there's a trend around the black forest to *use* our bikes; comes winter they need a new coat of slimey grease to protect them from the salt that happens to cover the roads. in 1992 i bought this very example as a pretty shiny bike, but that didn't last for long...numerous trips to britain, ireland, poland and some even weirder corners of europe took it's toll, then again, this is my #1 'cause she's always up for digging up some dirt. we're travelling lots together, this picture was taken on dartmoor, devon, gb this spring, in case you got curious find some material on tracks.dysfunction.de (in english) and odra.dysfunction.de (english and german, poss. consult thanx for listening, it feels good being here take care, max ~

Welcome aboard Max. You are one serious rider and I feel nothing but pity for your SR. Maybe you should consider a visit to the U.S. or Australia where the distances and vistas will really amaze you (I was looking at your blog where you mentioned feeling that the Netherlands was the biggest country in the world).
It will be a good thing to have such a lyrical writer join the forum. We can use a little poetry from time to time.

thanx bill; the bit with the netherlands was meant in an ironic way as there were so many dutch people roaming the mountains of austria ;), but having said that, you're definitely right referring to the scale of distances, for me it's hard to imagine real vastness that you find in some areas of the states, then the yukon territory in canada or the outback of australia. on the contrary, actually i try to slow myself down when travelling, say 150 miles max then stop and have a look...then again, this is europe, and having met a good number of us-amerikans i realized the whole perception thing seems to work differently. don't feel sorry for the bike, it's a charmer, well happy and chugging along without regrets ;) btw.: this cheeky monster doesn't feel like regrets either... max ~:)

Cool a SR with knobblies !A go anywhere machine I should think? As for the MZ ,its got to go into the world's most ugly bike section! If it was parked up on the side of the road I'm sure that front mudguard would get mistaken for a bus shelter! Sorry mate , I couldn't help myself . Welcome to the forum ,cheers Dave.
