I'm sure I'm not the only one here who's had fun going through the flickr pools for SR500s and SR400s. Maybe I'm unique to look to the accessories as well as the bike. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get some pannier bags like this character has? Google so far fails me.

I used 2 back packs with the tops tied together and threw them over the seat pony express style then tied the straps on the back to the shocks and frame to hold them in place. I used cheap back packs that were only about $9 each at Walmart but you can get ones as fancey as you want for more money.

Can someone tell me how it's possible to add photos to the post? I don't see any option for doing that.

I have a set of Nelson-Riggs soft bags, they come with a stiff liner that makes them hold their shape even empty. Mine are fairly large and have an additional top bag that can snap to each saddle bag across the seat. IMO you can't beat their quality and value.
The only issue you might have is that they are large enough that the rear signals can interfere with where you'd like the bags.
