Hi everyone, I'm a Brit living in Thailand. Just picked myself up a lovely '92 SR400 and browsing the web for info I came across your forum. Really glad I did, seems to be a wealth of priceless info on here. SRs are quite popular over here but my thai isn't quite good enough to have an in depth discussion on carb maintenance so its good to have a place to come and get some tips. I'm not much of a biker previously but saw one of these bad boys and fell in love. It's pretty much stock apart from the seat which I changed. Will try to get some pics up soon will have to upload to flickr or somewhere first, she's in good nick and I'm loving the classic look of the front drum brake (although it's not the best for stopping, oh well). If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask and I feel sure someone here will be able to answer. And if we can not answer the question we may well debate it for a week or two. Welcome aboard! PC

Welcome Billy (great name that),
If you're in or near Bangkok, you should look up the Gigabike SR500 team/company. One of the lads (Tee Og) is Japanese. He does passably well in English and from my correspondence with him in the course of buying a swingarm, seems to be a good sort. The main guy Aong, is evidently quite a racer and mechanic and can either make your SR race ready or just keep it running.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Bill, I came across the gigabike website a couple of days ago, it's not too far from where I live too. Will definitely give them a call. I'm itching to get a few things done to the bike, but time and money....... as always. Billy
