Is there anyone in Australia (preferably Brisbane region) who will re wind a stator coil?

In the UK the early system ran until 1980.

The first thing to check is if the cdi box of the 1980 bike has the same number. The ND (not the yamaha) part number of the early CDi box is 07000-035-0. If they are the same it will work.

You can check also the ND part numbers of the flywheel and stator...I don't have them to hand
