Does anyone know anything about the POSH Racing Project shocks offered on Ebay? They are offered by a guy in France for what seems to be a very reasonable price. From the pictures, they look to be decent quality and I'm in the market for a set of shocks for my 79 SR project. Any input would be appreciated. I don't need to waste my time or money if the are just POS shocks.

Well with 37 viewings I deduce that no one has used or heard of these shocks. So...no good reviews-no bad reviews..Hmm.. Well I went ahead and ordered a set. I will update when they arrive. Later Randy

Once again it seems like if it seems too good to be true..lalalalal. Thanks for the link, I wish I had tyhought of that myself. I plan on checking them out pretty thouroughly; spring rate, threading, rod flex and such before they goe on. The performance and weight of a V-Max is way different than the SR (I won't be road racing) and I wouldn't even of thought of putting them on a 4-wheeler (Good durability test though) so maybe they will work better. Time will tell. At any rate the money is spent. I will follow up. Thanks, Randy

Bear1 I would not despair just yet. I noted there was a lot of criticism of the shock, but mostly from those without direct knowledge. The one who did purchase, found them to be softly sprung for a Vmax (Maybe just right for an SR and stated that the mount bushings did not fit (may work with the SR). No mention of quality issues that I recall. Check them out and let us know your opinion. PC

Hi I have just received a set of these shocks ;D The guy's Ebay listing says he's in France but my package (frustratingly well packed ) was sent from Hong Kong China. Good luck that the UK customs missed this package so I didn't get stung by import tax . On first inspection they look quite well made but as previously mentioned the bushings don't fit the SR ,but if you press the steel dowel out of the synthetic rubber bush's they should fit over the 14 mm spigots OK The lower mounting eye is screwed into the bottom of the main shock body & is adjustable for height by about 20mm the thread on the mounting eye is a very fine pitch ,about 1mm x 16mm at a rough guess so I would be very careful tightening up the lock nuts , thread lock would be a must on these IMHO. There's No damping adjustment as I can see & pumping up the remote reservoirs will just give a firmer ride ,thats how I've interprated the very basic English written litrature provided as most of the paperwork does appear to be in French It'll be a while before I get to ride the SR but I may try them out on my XS750 triple first . All in all ya pay's ya money & ya makes ya choice I'm very happy so far with these units , & they look good too any questions ? LURCH

Mine came in the mail Saturday and all I've done so far is take them out of the box and look them over. They did come from France but there is a sticker on the body written in some asian language. Like Lurch said they look pretty good. The stroke appears to be the same as the std SR shock but the OAL is about an inch shorter. That isn't going to matter too much because after looking at them I decided I am going to make longer rod ends. We just got 8" of snow so I don't think I'll be doing much with the SR until I get tired of the sled. Then again I have plenty to do on it and want it ready for spring so I will update as I progress.
