The "puller" was the first thing I tried, wouldn't budge.
Anyone got a pivot bolt with one good end they can spare? I'm going to make a drill guide out of it, use the nut as a union to join the drill guide to the clean end on mine.

I had that interesting problem, wanted to trash the bike but what the hell. I kept on adding washers & penetrating oil & it ( tapping a copper bar too, and it finally came out. Put some cardboard under it for the mess. Dave

They can get stuck in the frame 'bushes'...perhaps a small amount of heat... SR

Well Miker I hope you've learned your lesson.
You should've stopped by the house at the first sign of trouble getting that baby out.
I've got a full range of big hammers suitable for just about any motorcycle mechanical problem that arises.
(Having read the above posts, I'm going out in a few minutes and squirt some grease into the swing arm. As a matter of fact, I'm going to do that a lot from now on.)

I've solved it!
I bought a new computer. The time, effort, and pain to get that going have completely erased the SR pivot from my mind. Success!

the washer (as in the link above) method ususally works, provided there is some time for kroil, caramba et.al. to work its magic. The needle bearings appear a bit overstressed, they don't work for me...i fitted bronce bushings (longer than the needle bearings) with the shaft going straight through, this has been working without slack for about ten years now, only dismantling and relubing twice. the important thing with *this* setup though is *not* to compress the frame by overtightning the two nuts, but to use the adequate amount of shims. if the swing arm is a real p.i.g to relocate, the spacing is right ;). those two swing arm nuts are overtightened on so many sr's...
