Ooh I like the "White One"! I always wondered what a SR would look like in that combo of white & silver ? Great effort , Just one question(& I'm not being critical)why is the speedo so high ? As I'm intrigued cheers Dave.

Thanks for the comments, Dave, thats a good question, now that i look at it, its mounted way too high, i have it mounted on the top of the yoke, instead of the bottom. At the time, i dont think i had the right fastners to mount it. Thanks for the pics Stew, your instruments are setup pretty similar to mine. Ill need to mount my guage like you have yours. What kind of bolt did you use? I had a hard time finding something that worked.

From memory, I bought a stainless allen headed bole that was long enough and used that...made an alloy washer for the top to make it look better...but a large diameter (penny) washer would also do. I also made my own alloy mount bracket, but the steel one is fine. You could also bend it a little to angle it back a bit if you wanted to. SR

Lurch, I bought the bar end mirrors from here: ausfr.com.au/cart/shopexd.asp?id=150&bc=noTheyre made well, but im still finding it hard to get the positioning right, seing as the bars are low. Thanks for that Stew, im slowly tidying up the little bits and pieces. I like the rocket switch you have there also, was thinking of doing something like that.

Hi Ben,well done, that is high quality and these re-builds always provide a bit of inspiration to others, I particularly like the mettalic silver frame and it definitely is an alternative to the conventional black. The white wheels and seat would be the brunt of some serious ridicule if it were mine but each to their own as they say!!! Just a bit of advice, get your sumpgaurd back on to protect the oilpipe which looks vulnerable without it. Regards,Andy

Very clean bm82. I really like the white and silver. The big brake rotor with the gold trim looks nats too.

Appreciate the comments, I didnt expect it to be to many peoples taste, it gets pretty mixed reaction, but I thought id try something different while i had the chance. Eventually id really like a polished tank, which is what i intended initially. White wheels are such a nightmare to keep clean also.

I know what you mean about the white wheels. I have a BMW K100RS with white wheels also. It's shaft drive. I can imagine it's even tougher keeping the chain lube off of your wheels. They look pretty nice when they're clean though.
