I've already written a couple of posts in the wanted section. But now I'm the proud owner of this bike I thought I would introduce myself. My name's Daniel, I design and install home theatre systems on the Central Coast of NSW. So far I have had her two weeks started her three times, including tonight but not with any kind of reliability. She was sitting in a warehouse in Melbourne for three years so it might be a while till I can go for a ride plus I need to transfer the Vic plates. I choose an SR because of the whole idea of owning a kick start single. The journey begins before you have even started the bike and once it's going the vibration and engine note are telling you things the whole time. Tonight I'm feeling frustrated but happy to be here.

Welcome bro,
I used to live in Gorokan, Central Coast but now live in the USA. Gotta love the Central Coast ;D
Man the SR looks to be in sweet shape so once you get the mechanicals sorted out you'll have one hell of a ride there.
Good luck with it all.
Glenn

Welcome to the site and SR ownership all in one go...well done! Nice bike as well. If you are unable to make it to the rally, then look at getting to the KVR at Kangaroo Valley early next year. We'd be glad to see you there! SR

Thanks guys I have the mechanical side sorted now just need some rego. I have posted a new thread in the discussion forum. Hopefully I get an answer soon so I can get riding around the glorious central coast. I'll have to make a few trips up and down the old pacific highway. Do you miss the old road Glenn? You've probably found the equivalent or better over there. What is the KVR?

The KVR (Kangaroo Valley Ride) is an event organised by the ACT members of the SR500 Club to provide a SR event for the guys form around NSW etc. to attend. A lot of them feel it is too far to go Bethanga in Vic for the main club rally in November. We hold it in around March sometime each year now and it usually gets a number of SRs and some other bikes from around the area to attend. Next year we are inviting W650's to along as well. Here is a report on last years event on the ACT SR site. home.vtown.com.au/~sross2/?NEWS::ACT_SR_CLUB_38_-_THE_KVR%21Come along! SR

[/quote] Man the old road, I haven't ridden or driven that thing forever. We used to go up and down that thing all the time back in the day - what a hoot. There are some cool canyon runs and stuff around here but also a lot of straight road Man now you got me missing the Central Coast and Newie areas. When you get riding get some snaps off you cruising the Central Coast and post em up so I can check it out. Later, Glenn
