Hope you do better than me Marlon
My missus is critical of me pulling my bike apart inside my own place.
I think a couple of tanks, a swingarm, and front drum add a nice ambience to my room

Hi, The front stand I use is a Sharp Racing one...I'll see if I have a pic of it. Anderson make one as well...you'll have to tell them that you want it for an SR400...I had to machine up another spigot to suit the SR's lower clamp...otherwise it works very nicely. I loved the SP1 too...fantastic engine and a great sound from the Akrapovic's. I had the VTR1000 before it and that engine was the most user friendly one I've ever owned..being a Honda Racing nut, I still prefer the gear-drive cams of the SP1 though Should have bought an RC30 when I had the chance... I'll try to find a pic of the stand... SR

Jesus Stew, that's gorgeous!
I went to a motorcycle dealership today to have a poke around. I asked for a front stand, and described it to her and the fat cow behind the counter said "I ain't never heard of one, and i've been working in the bloody industry for seven years." I convinced her to have a look through a catologue, she couldn't find it and gave up. "Nah, sorry mate, I've never heard of one before." Jesus Christ. A 16 year old apprentice walked into the shop to check something, I asked him:
"Yeah, we've got two bikes up on them at the moment out the back." The fat girl looked flustered. Just to rub it in I asked him: "How long have you been working in the industry for?"
"Er... two months?"
After getting the fat girl to make a few phone calls for a price, I said I left my wallet in the car and walked out and drove up the road to the next bike store. Not a funny or even entertaining story, but it's true.

Thanks Stew!! Because of the pic of the Irving, I am going to have to dry out my keyboard! Too much drooling!
Do you (or anyone else) know if that is a Gardiner fuel injector sitting on the rear cylinder head?

Ouch mate!
Have you got any more pics of SR racing in Japan? I'd love to see some, if you could start up a thread with them it'd be greatly appreciated!

cow behind the counter said "I ain't never heard of one, and i've been working in the bloody industry for seven years." Reminds me of the pretty useless (that is, pretty and useless, and pretty useless) salegirls in at Peter Stevens. Every time I call regarding a part for the SR or to get some work done, I get a curt response : "This is a Honda shop!" "Yeh" I reply "But you can order the part in (which is what your spare parts guys do all day every day!)" It seems that Peter Stevens hires its female sales staff, not for their competence (and if they cared to they could easily find competent females!) but for their waist-line and hair colour!

I know what you're saying Matt - I've had some interesting discussions with them in the past. Looks like the bike lift I got was a bit too high to get the SR up on. Shame. So, it's looking for an alternative... If only I'd bought my centre stand with me down from Sydney. Dunno if I can wait a few weeks. In the meantime, what do y'all think of this: www.andersonstands.com/harley-davidson_stands.htm Think it'll lift the SR? I've got most of the stuff in the garage ready to rock. Swingarm, shocks and springs from Ikon, fork oil and some lovely shifters and spanners. I'm chomping at the bit...
