Good question. I have also wondered if all was o.k., with him. He hasn't logged in here since Oct 29, 2007. He also used to do a lot of eBay stuff, but has been quiet there for a number of months also. We should maybe email him. His email can be found at the bottom of his web page here: www.hopwheels.com/G Man

Hey guys! Wow, I hadn't realized this much time slipped by. Didn't really intend on dropping off the face of the SR planet. Hope everyone here is doing well.
I took a little hiatus from riding and bikes in general. A friend up in Washington state had a car make a left in front of him on his bike, and shattered his arms going through his windscreen and into the car. Could have been a lot worse, but was/is pretty bad.
It's taken some months and a few surgeries and he's doing better, but back when it happened, kind of put the fear of God in me. Talked it over with my wife, and decided I'd lay off bikes for a bit. Actually thought it might be the end of my riding career, but thankfully didn't rashly sell anything.
Just this past weekend pulled my '79 SR out for my brother-in-law visiting from North Carolina. He rides and has seen pics, and wanted to lite it up in person.
Well, I can tell you I'm not done riding. Just a few years into my riding career, and it sure gets into your blood. I don't have to tell you guys that.
So, thanks for thinking of me, missed posting and reading, and have some catching up to do. See lots of new names, very cool. See ya' around!

Welcome back. Sorry to hear about your friend, I know how devastating it can be. I've lost two great riding companions due to the same circumstance. Hang in there!

Hey mate, good to see you back!
Horrible to hear about your mate. Sh!t happens eh? I felt the same as you a while ago - a mate of mine had his leg severed when he was clipped by a truck. It's hard to shake the want to be on a bike eh?

Thanks guys... appreciate it. And my friend is on the mend, so that's good. Guess I am too, 'cause when I brought my SR out of the garage to show my brother in law, and started it up and rode it a bit, couldn't get the smile off my face.
