Years ago there was a guy here in Aus (Melbourne) who placed a dead horse on the steps of the Victorian art gallery and called it art...maybe this is the same guy? SR

What a stupid thing to do to what looked like a pretty good early 750/4, the very least he could have done was sell it and by an SR with the proceeds.
Cheers Rich

It is NOT art. It reminded me of a tortured animal. I think the person who did it should have his gonads squeezed in a vice until flat. Disgusting. PC

it reminds me of learning to ride on an old two stroke with a sticky throttle in a rough paddock
Did that make me an artist?

I too, was reminded of a tortured animal. As I watched the violent struggle I found myself both concerned for the welfare of the bike and angry at her tormentors. When the video was over I laughed at myself for giving a shit, but, for a few moments I was effected, and that ,in my opinion makes it art .Whither good or bad art, of course, everyone is entitled to an opinion and nobody is wrong

Trouble with this sort of stuff however is they think too much. Art is different to theoretical / abstract conceptual statements, least I reckon so, guess the cutting-edge of the 20th century (c'mon mate it's getting a bit old now) disagrees with me

d**n. Was thinking you were all being drama queens, saying it looks like a tortured animal. . . . but now I've seen it. Yeah it did bring up those feelings when I saw it (so maybe it is art and successful at that). . . But I will say it's wasteful and for that reason I dont like it. I dont understand all art and I'll happily say I think a lot of it is crap, BUT I also think art should be creation.

That brought tears to my eyes. To think they could've shipped it round my place and i could be back on 2 wheels while the SR got a rebuild. Absolute S H I T and a waste of what looked like a very tidy machine.

I don't think it was ever intended as art to begin with. Probably some bored, stupid kids wonder what it would look like.

Agreed. It's not art. (Although the interpretation of art can be pretty far reaching). It's the abuse/destruction of a nice piece of hardware.
If they own it, they are free to do as they wish, IMO. It's ashame to abuse something that still can provide service/enjoyment though. Doesn't say much about the owner does it?
