The black with silver wheels on my SR is OK but, ever since I built it, I have wanted something different. I was thinking maybe black wheels with Yamaha blue on the tank, seat, front fender. I'm going to give it a bit of a makeover over the winter here and was wondering about other color combos. Don't worry about getting to loud with the suggestions. I even like florescent colors. Ideas anyone? ? Pic here is for reference. And yes, I plan to lose the dual headlights and go to a single 7" Autoroche.

Candy Tangerine on the tank, seat, fender, with black accents. Black wheels with a Candy Tangerine rim if you can manage that.

I had to look up what "Candy Tangerine" looked like besides just telling myself "Orange". Nice color. My only reservation with that and the black would be that it would look a bit Harley-ish. I was also thinking maybe a Marlboro Red on the wheels and white tank, seat, F. fender. Think early '80's Yamaha 500 GP bike colors without the Marlboro chevrons. Another is purple/yellow similar to the Joe Camel colors. Like this.....

No way that bike would be mis-identified as a Harley! Marina Blue/Ferrari Yellow/Scarlet would be an eye-catcher.........

I like the black in general, but think a red/orange/white flame job would look good. My favorite would be ghost flames in black surrounded by "Real Flame" in red/orange/white. You can do the same treatment to the fender and seat so all matches. In the attached link you can see the car in real flame and the harley tank in ghost flames. www.crazyhorsepainting.com/index.shtmlPC

Those are very nice paint jobs but, flames have never really done it for me. Not even on choppers or old hotrods, where you seem to see more of that style.

If you go blue, you could do a blue and white thing, incorporate Rossi's GP bike paint scheme somehow. Maybe do white wheels instead of black.
If you go purple and yellow, you gotta remember Joe Camel was a Honda thing in the '90's.

Yea, the blue/white would work better with white wheels.
I wasn't to worried about the Smokin' Joes colors being a Honda thing. One could look at it as a Senna/Lotus thing as well. It would have to be yellow with blue/silver trim. Maybe "ghost" a camel under the yellow on the top of the tank.
