I guess Ill get blasted for asking a question on an XT but I have no where else to go. I have abone stock 78 XT with a & K&N stock air box filterand a Supertrapp slipon muffler. Stock jetting is 230 main with 25 pilot. I didnt check the needle as I just got it and was trying to get it running, pilot jet was plugged up. Thats suppose to be the stock jetting from what Ive read. Just looking for advise on how much to bump the jetting up. Putting it back together today so Ill see how it runs like it is. Thanks for any help on this

You will probably find that it can be sorted by adjusting the screw only... SR

Bike has a giant dead spot as it transitions to the needle. Hva to get that sorted out to get to the main jetting. Minton Mods calls for a 290 main, that seems like a big jump especially at 3700 ft altitude here in Billings Mt
