hello,
just wondering if somebody would be kind enough to post up a picture of where the tachometer plugs into on the motor. my bike didn't come with one and i have just bought one.

jse,
No picture, but it is on top of the motor. If you are sitting on the bike it is on the right ,and on top of the rocker arm cover-not far from exhaust adjustment "window. Sometimes, the old tach cable and housing get stuck in there, and the old owner just cuts it off,so you don't "see" a hole in the top.
There is a circlip that holds the cable housing in it-so if there is still a nub in there-take the clip off before trying to get it off(use penetrating oil 1st-tap it-metal on metal-a few times 1st also.).
You really can't mistake it for something else. It is right near the cam-driven off the cam.

PS It is round and about 15-20 mm in diameter.
