Maybe try these guys, never used them myself but they seem to have been around for a fair while. Usually a good sign: Warner's Wheels, Unit 1, 18 Premier Crt, Kawana Waters, QLD, 4575; (07) 5493 1966; WWW.MWW.COM.AUSR

Spoked Wheel Repairs 23/17 Lorraine St Peakhurst 2210 Tel 02 9153 9700
Chris Squires, who runs the joint built a couple of wheels for me some years back to go on my XT/SR500 Motad (I promise I will finish it one day). All I gave him was the hubs, he sourced the 17" rim I wanted and laced the wheel with HD stainless steel spoke. Did a good job at what I thought was a reasonable price back then in 2002.

I agree with Colin. Chris does great work, but a warning he can be very, very slow!!!!! If you take stuff to him give him a dead line otherwise you will wait months. Plus he shuts down for 4-6 weeks over xmas and a lot of school holidays.

You are correct about Chris taking his time. It took about 9 months for him to do my wheels, but a lot of that time was trying to get the rims I wanted.
I was serving in the navy at the time and was at sea for most of the time so it wasn't a hassle for me, but could be an issue if you are desperate to get you bike back on the road.
