And Another One Of These Noobies!!!! Just wanted to say Hi, I am thinking about bringing my SR over from Germany to the US. It has been in a barn for the last 16 years. The picture was taken before Hibernation. I am not sure in what shape it is these days. But I think it would be a great project. I rode the bike through most of Europe, the Alps, up to the arctic circle: Great memories. See you soon, MaxFahrer

Yep thats it , pull the plug ,squirt a bit of oil down the barrel, give the carby a birthday, dump as much of the old oil out as possible & clean the filter out with turps or kero , put some supermarket oil in it ,wind it over a few times buy hand on the kicker ,check for a spark, put the carb back on ,plug in ,nice clean fuel & I bet it starts within a few kicks. Ride it for 100-200ks then dump the oil & put in a new filter & some good oil & a new plug, it'll be revived & will probably go for ever!Defiately do it you won't regret it ,cheers Dave ,Oh yeah welcome to the forum.
