Don't know if this is old news to others, but I see that A1 Motorcycles is now stocking Deus bikes, including new stock SRs. Will be interesting to see if they start moving the new stock bikes - there seems to be a growing interest in the SR and it's like, at least so it seems to me.... www.a1motorcycles.com.au/deus.html-Matt

Yeah, I wonder how that revival is going. In 1960 a new Triumph Bonneville cost $1,800 on the showroom floor in the U.S., and a VW bug cost about the same. In 2008 a new bugs costs $18,000 and a new, retro Bonneville costs $8,000. It seems like the Triumphs would be selling as fast as they could get them here, but I seldom see any on the road. Hard to understand. On the other hand, you could always get a brand new Vincent Black Shadow: thekneeslider.com/archives/2007/02/07/vincent-black-shadow-built-from-all-new-parts/The Japanese government only requires motor vehicle manufacturers to sell parts for ten years after a model is discontinued. The last SR 500s were made in 2000 (?) so in a couple more years new parts may be hard to find. I'm all for a revival. By the way, what kind of bikes are the Deus 650s? From the Web site I can't tell.

They seem to be doing quite in Melbourne - the biggest shop always has a line up of the Bonnevilles, and there are more on the road all the time (I'd be one of them if I had the money!).

Haha, I had to laugh reading your comment Milkman. I baulkedwhen I saw they stocked bicycles. What's next... Vespa's?
I think with the amount of SR500's and the similarity in components between the 500 and 400 means we'll have parts around for a long, long time yet. No problems on that front.

OK guys, forget Deus, have a look at page175 Motorcycle Trader mag issue 203 March-April 2008. Eureka Trading in Brisbane. (07 3865 4338) They have listed SR400/500s from $3500! I don't know the firm personally, but they are two grand under Melbourne pricing! (Their main trade is forklifts)

... but I seldom see any on the road. Hard to understand. bigshingle, maybe it's the Minnesota climate!!! Given the lack of Triumph shops within fifty miles of me, I see plenty of the Hinckley bikes, especially the Bonnies. But I can tell you that my SR is the only one I have seen in my area! Kevin
