I was just wondering about the fitment of a SR500 skid pan on a SR400 frame. Any ideas??? I'm not quite 100% sure but, I believe it will.

It didn't fit on my 05 model SR500 - I'll go and recheck it soon because it wasn't exactly a real hard go at putting it on.

I have test fit quite a few I have done since, and before, then. All from the same template I have used from the start. Every one fit up. The chassis I have is a '78 E model. I know I have sold about dozen and haven't heard of any problems. In fact, a few have told me how well it fit up. One guy even put on on a XT and it fit well. I had told him that only 3 of the 4 holes would line up (the one close to the side stand is different.) The trick, as with a stock part, is to just start the bolts first. When all are started, then tighten them up. If you look at the stock part, you will notice that the holes are rather large for the size of bolt used. I am sure this is for variations in the mounting tab placement. I use the same size holes in mine for that reason.
