Maybe this has been covered before but...how many SR500's were built (I am the new owner of a 1979 model) and where are most of them living now? I'm in the States but it appears that lots of this forum's members are in Australia, right?
I guess what I'm after is "demographics."
Anyway, went to "Rice - o - Rama" in Massachusetts this past weekend and, besides my SR250, I didn't see any other Yamaha singles.

Hi Malarz, I saw your sr250. You weren't with the bike at the time, I still said hi to it. I was planning to bring my sr500 but drove down from NH with a friend. I was actually suprised there wern't any there. there were some very nice bikes there maybe next year. A couple of the people there with me thought/think I should have entered my bike, it's pretty much done if there's such a thing, later Davewfc

Yes, maybe next year I'll ride the 500 instead of the 250. If my son doesn't grab it first, of course. I just got in a parts order from Thumperstuff. Maybe I'll get it running again this year.

Here is a SR250 bobber at Deus's swap meet today...next to modified TW225. Interesting machines...note the hand change on the SR! SR
