and just wanted to share the love! I've owned this motorcycle since it was new...and it never fails to make me smile. I have other bikes in the garage and variety is nice, but if a fire broke out and I could only save one bike...the SR lives! Neat sound, light weight, enough power, no froo-froo, etc. Just a motorcycle. Had to vent...in a good way! Kent www.backtrackvideo.com

I totally agree...I have owned SRs for getting on to 30 years now and they're the one bike I will not sell...well I sold one once, but I regret it now. Years of riding superbikes at warp speed, still doesn't compare to a good ride on the SR in my mind...110 - 120 ks along the back roads on the SR and all is fine! Even my mates SRX600, although faster, isn't the same. SR

I'm with you! I frequently ride my friends' nice expensive bikes, with multiple times the hp, and they are boring by comparison to this old tractor! I spent three weeks off the SR recently, because I hurt my knee kick-starting it; almost started to think I could live happily with the other bike I was riding or something else...until I got back on the SR and felt those good vibrations and that old-time feel!

Thats right I'm for all that ,I went for a ride with my neighbor about a week ago(he has a 1100 Virago) ,I zipped past him on the first straight & when we stopped for a break 30ks later he was going (cheez I didn't think that bike could do that). So we swapped for the next leg & you should have seen the grin on his gob(his other bike by the way is a ZX10)Its a totally different kind of ride coz sometimes you don't need to try & break the sound barrier do you ? I find the SR can be ridden flat out & your not out of your comfort zone cheers Dave.
