Oh that ain't so fugly. I got much worse on mine. I would be much more concerned with the odometer. Does that really say 60000K? Actually it's about where I'm at.

Had to put on a MISTER NICE face for weeks and i was lucky wifey was forgiving This would be my 5th SR ( not simultaneously), and this one resembles the one i had Down Under the most, ( see tales from the road ).........will bring back good memories ! I now realize the name Dutchcool might give you the idea that I think of my self as the most cool guy in the world, although i don't have a low self esteem,.. the name was piked for an other forum and it relates to my professional life,..I'm in to transporting heat from the inside to the outside ! ( Refrigerant sniffer ) But that aside!

I bought the bike under the condition that the seller would fix the registration papers, they were incomplete The engine runs fine, but the chrome is....................missing Made a nice ride on it ! Will let you know if the pieces fall together.

Hallo Dutchcool,
geen idee what is wrong with the seat, guess you have found out already. hope for you it is not a great hassle to complete the papers. you should not expect the chrome to be that bad from the pics. if needed i still have a pile of n.o.s. chainguards pedals etc.

Owner will fix the papers, he is half way! The swap will be about next week or so, it had never taken me that long to buy a SR ! I might need some parts Sjef, the bike's caretaker didn't have a proper shed, it spent years under a plastic bikecover. (Clochard) Chaincover is rusted badly, right shield is missing, but first of all i will take care of the fluids and filters. Bike rescue is on its way !

Today was the transfer, went with the train and drove it back ! Oh man what a feeling the last time a drove a SR was aprox 15 years ago,........well its like that was yesterday !! I took a longer route ofcourse ( off course ! ) The bike has 62000k on it but still feels athletic to me ! exept for weak legs and brakes ! Now i know were all the rust is coming from ! Holland wetland !
