So this weekend was the FTMA Wombat Rally.
This rally is held at Warnertown, just outside Port Pirie South Australia.
They tell me its the best Rally in SA, I won't argue coz its the only one I go to so I can't judge for myself.
Anyway I rock up looking for somewhere safe to park my SR, when Lefty, a 400 pound organiser, says "Mick what year is that thing?" "'78" says I. "Good" he said, "that makes it vintage, park here, we've only got 2 other vintage bikes for the Show and Shine." Well, he's 400 pounds, so I'm not arguing. Cut a long story short, my baby won Best Vintage Bike. Only a '78 Z1000 Kwaka, and a late 60's yammy trail bike for competition, but the judging is all peoples choice, so Dammit, I'm taking the win regardless.
