Well I finally bite the bullet, load the XT into the ute and drove the three hours out to see Carl at his workshop in wattle flat (about 25 km out of Bathurst). 6 hrs, 8 power runs, 12 carbie R & R's and he was finally happy to send me on my way.(note he won't let you go till it is absolutely spot on)
The results: 1st run 20.4 HP Final run 24.8 HP
This might not sound like much but on a 20 HP bike it represents a 23.5 % increase in power. What Carl charges would not get an hr on a dyno any where else let alone his mechanical services and knowledge. You all thought the XT was quick before! Wait for the next ride!

Curly isn't fast. . . It's just that if he does happen to get in front of you; the numberplate that wobbles around, threatening to break off and cut you up, makes you hesitate to get close enough to pass him again  |

Milko I was having the fuel economy looked at and in the process I picked up more HP.
Ross I'm quick but not that quick!

Thats a pretty impressive HP increase for a few hours on the dyno.
Money well spent i think,
wish i lived closer to carls workshop....
