One other inexpensive option to clip-ons is clubman bars. I haven't seen them mentioned yet so I thought I would. Similar to clip-ons but not quite as low. Lower than drag bars though. And compared to the price of even steel clip-ons, MUCH cheaper. Although a little more than conventional bars.

Ace bars and clubman bars are the same thing in my book...'Ace' from the 'Ace Cafe' in the UK. I used to have adjustable ace bars years ago, sort of mini-clamp clip-ons attached to a U shaped bar...but you can't get the same ones anymore. Here are mine from then...ahem a few years back...you could drop the bars a lot lower but the 450's indicators got in the way... There are Laverda bars and some Tommaselli ones as well...if you don't fancy the clip-ons look around for a set of adjustable bars like these... Tommaselli's... SR

I really love the looks of them. I have been drooling over the Japanese customs even before I got the bike. I will probably try them at some point but Im not ready to get into rearsets and new headlights. Im more comfortable in an upright/dirtbike position anyways. I have decided to get it on the road first and pay attention to the mods later.

One other inexpensive option to clip-ons is clubman bars. Disadvantage: driver must have hairdo like the guy in the pic! ;D

i really hope front number plates dont get brought back in as is rumoured to be on the cards over here! At least not the ones mounted crosswise. Alongside with the bike is fine for chasing and slicing pedestrians (children/pensioners))! Regards Sven
