Hi Im looking for some plan drawings of an sr or xt frame. I am wanting to build a 3d model on the computer of the frame and then add bits as required to see how modifications would look and/or fit. I've looked through manuals ...eg... www.slash5.net/sr500.htmland there is a distict lack of drawings of the frame. wiring diagrams have segments but nothing complete. Ideally i am looking for a plan (overhead), front and elevation (side) drawing of the frame (and/or components). I have taken photos of a frame from side on and overhead which is a start but drawings (with dimensions) would be ideal. Any one ever seen anything like this? thanks

thanks Dutchcool that is helpful. Great site. But the view i am ideally after is one directly from the side, most importantly and hopefully from the front and side . So i can trace over the drawing. cheers

What modeling package are you using. I am on Solidworks and have be toying with the idea of drawing up bits and pieces of the beast for proper fit/mods etc.
If you are on something different we could just share IGES files if we had to.
Keep us posted!

Nice link Sven and Pit !!! I managed to download the 3d pdf model of the engine. That is a very nice (professional) bit of modeling. Not being able to read German the rest of its a bit of a waste on me. Pit do you know if they had any success with modeling the frame? i could only find a download reference to the engine. Would it be rude of me to post in english there? I am very interested as to where they got the technical information (drawings) to model the engine to that level of detail. Maybe he had a stripped down engine? I am half way through the modeling of my frame. Maybe they would be interested in a model trade? I think i'll just post there and see what happens. cheers
