There must have been over a thousand bikes in the clip of the group ride. I've only known one other SR500 owner face to face, in over 25 years of owning these bikes. I thought my taste was a bit...odd. Doesn't seem so odd after watching the videos of other thumper nuts.
I wonder if it's possible for an individual to import common SR400/500 parts from Japan to the States. Fuel tanks, exhausts, fenders, wheels, etc. It would be really great to have brand new OEM plastics, paint and chrome. I know the U.S. Yamaha dealers can't get Japanese home market items, or they won't admit to it if they can. Just dreamin.
Hi, The break disk used to be at the left side at the beginning. Some guys took the calipers of 650s and had a double disk. The modern calipers with 4 pistons generate a package problem at the left side. The spedometerdrive is the reason to take the right side for the first and only disk. Regards Rei97
Really cool bike...Sure wish they'd import them to Canada. I'd like to order the fancy handlebar clamp. I wonder if a Canadian Yamaha dealer could order it.
