I am in the middle of a pre apprenticeship course in mechanical engineering, I bought myself a lathe a little while ago and thought some schooling would help me get the best out of it.
As a starter project I want to make myself a set of rearsets, does anyone know where Ican find some pics of rearsets for SR500s?
Another great thing about doing this course is that next year I can go to what they call hobby classes which are run on a thursday afternoon and night where I will have access to all the machines in the workshop (about 25 lathes and 15-20 milling machines with everything in between)
So if people have any ideas for stuff to make let me know as I need some ideas to run with.

I have a set of SR500 specific rearsets in my garage. I'll try and get a few pictures of them for you over the weekend. I can not wait to get back to working on and riding the SR. Here is a good link to some fabrication tips: www.mechwerks.comAs far as starter bits to make: knob/bolt covers mounts (for different stuff)

Ooooh- are you willing to sell the SR rearsets? I'm definitely looking...
That being said- if anyone either has, or knows where to find, good rearsets for a 1980 drum SR, I'd appreciate it...
Thanks!
