Hey everybody,
I live in northern CT and have been riding dirt bikes since I was 6. I just bought myself an SR 500 from a coworker of mine for $250. He was the orgianl owner and it's wonderful condition. It came with a recently purchased Mikuni racing carb with a K&N air filter. It starts in one kick even after sitting for a few days. As a college student, I couldn't have asked for a better deal. I plan on slowly but surly converting it into a nice cafe racer.
I also own a '88 XT 600, YZ 250 that run well. I also own an '82 XV 900 which needs some valve work (shooting flames through one of the carbs and very low compression). That is a project much farther down the line.
Just thought I'd introduce myself. And I'm excited to now be part of the SR 500 community!
