Hello All! Name is Ian and am from the Bloomington/Normal area. Been riding bikes since I was little (not long ago ) My first road going bike was a beautiful 77 KZ1000A1 with pods, dual cross-drilled rotors, drilled rear rotor, 78 Corvette blue metallic paint, electronic ignition, 4into1 Vance & Hines street/strip exhaust. The one bike I wish I never had to sell! After that I got a 98 XR650L, stayed pretty much stock while I had an 04 FZ1 that turned into a streetfighter. After the FZ1 I converted the XR to a supermoto and all cr250 bodywork (custom tank). I parted the XR out after I got another streetfighter project, which I never completed before starting to part it out. All I have now is a completely polished 92 gsxr/w frame, swingarm and 06 gsxr1000 shock. I've pretty much lost interested in the whole big bike thing (had the 3 liter bikes) after having the Supermoto. I've been wanting to mix the classic look with the supermoto feel for a long time. I think the SR500 might be the perfect base for that. I know you all know the Borile B500CR, well that is kind of my inspiration. I'm thinking I'll start another thread for my upcoming project. Glad I found this site! greetz, Ian

Welcome to the site! I was through your area about a month ago on a road trip to pick up a SR in Kentucky. Nice bikes!
