Curious to know if any of our European members own or have seen this bike in person? Thoughts? I've heard it was kind of heavy...but I like it alot!
In fact, I wrote Yamaha USA (a real letter, even!) and asked them about bringing it into America. I told them I would clean out my garage (except, of course, my '80 SR 500) and be the first in line to get one.
I received a form letter, thanking me for my interest. Sigh.

I too eyed this bike with envy. But looks like we may never see them in OZ. Mick

I live in Norway and i almost bought one. But mind you i never tried it. It looks cool and feels easy to ride. The 45HP is the main reason i didnt buy one. I felt it should have more, but it would proberbly be enough. Also it dropped fast in price when bought brand new. But just sitting on it at the Yamaha Dealers i must say it really felt good and i was tempet as hell. If i had won the lottery i would be right up on my top list together with a few other bikes.
Some people say its a beginners bike. I dont know about that. It is after all kina like a supermotard/streetfighter. The fact that its easy to ride doesnt make it a beginners bike in my opinion.
