Can anyone give me some advice please, I am changing the carb on my (81) SR500 to a (78) XT500, as myne has had to many people tamper with it, and as I like simplicity I prefer the XT type because it doesnt have the accelorator pump.
My problem is I now need to change the tap because the new carb wont need a vacuum type tap, but what model Yamaha has a standard type tap with the same mountings as an SR500.
P.S
I measured the gaps between the mounting screws and they are 50mm apart on an SR500, the XT 500 is only 34mm so it wont fit.
So does anyone know of one or an after market one available in the UK
