Hi guys, first post for me. I was wondering if anyone has tried one of the "high performance disc brake rotors" from MikesXS, Part #30-3065. www.mikesxs.net/mikesxs-chassis.php?category_id=1.2I think the rotor should bolt right on, but I would like to hear from someone who has given it a try. Thanks, Eric

My brother has one on his XS650. It required a disc spacer and caliper spacers (all included). I rode it and didn't find it significantly different than my stock XS650 front brake.
A little searching will turn up numerous people who have used other Yamaha brakes (R1, R6, FZR, etc) on the XS650 or SR500; just for another idea.

I put one on mine and may go for a second after I switch to a spoke front wheel I have sitting around from an XS 650.
It went on without a hitch and looks great. I am still breaking in the breaks so I have been going light on the front break till the pads wear in so I can't give you any comments on stopping power yet.

That is good to hear, I thought it would just bolt on but it's nice to have the confirmation.
Thanks, Eric
