Hi everybody!
My name is Jeff, and I'm in the process of picking up a SR500 Project Bike that I found recently. I'll have some pictures once I get it in the garage, but offhand I already know that it's a 1980 and that there's some work that will need to be done to get it on the road.
I'd been riding for quite a while, starting out as a youngster on dirt bikes and commuting my way through college on a Kawasaki Concours, but I got married and moved out into the country and the Connie wouldn't have done so well where I am, as it was just too top-heavy and tall for me to be sliding around in loose dirt and gravel. I've been without a bike of my own for a couple years, and when I saw this one I just had to jump on it.
Can't wait to get my hands dirty with this bike! Hopefully I'll have pics soon!
